ROSE BRITO

Specialist in Complex Case Rehabilitation & Neurological Recovery

Hi, I’m Rose! I’m a physical therapist with more than 26 years of experience, and a passion for helping people finally find relief, especially when they’ve tried everything else and still haven’t gotten answers.

From the very beginning of my career, I’ve always been drawn to the more challenging cases, the patients who feel discouraged, misunderstood, or “stuck.” I love figuring out what others may have missed, identifying the true source of a problem, and designing a treatment plan that finally delivers progress. That has been the heart of my work for over two decades, and it’s what continues to inspire me every day.

My journey began in Brazil, where I earned my Physical Therapy degree in 1996 and worked in sports medicine with two premier league soccer teams. I’ve always believed in learning from the best, staying curious, and pushing my skills as far as possible, values that led me to lecture at universities, speak at conferences, and become recognized nationally for knee rehabilitation early in my career.

In 2001, life took me to Toronto, where I expanded my education through George Brown College and the University of Toronto and discovered my true passion: neurological and stroke rehabilitation. I became a clinical leader at a state-of-the-art neuro-rehab facility, treating patients from all over Canada using the country’s very first Lokomat robotic gait therapy system. Helping patients regain movement and hope during those years shaped the therapist I am today.

When my family and I moved to Florida in 2007, I completed my Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) equivalency and continued to grow, earning advanced training in pelvic floor therapy, vestibular rehab, lymphatic therapy, shoulder rehabilitation, joint mobilization, and dry needling. In 2012, I founded PhysioActive, which grew into multiple locations and allowed me to treat more than 35,000 patients with the help of an incredible team.

A More Personal Way of Practicing

By 2024, I felt called to return to something more personal and meaningful. I shifted into a concierge care model so I could slow down, truly connect with my patients, and give each person my full attention, whether in their home or at the Luxe East Boca office.

I also joined forces with a wonderful group of highly trained practitioners, acupuncture, massage therapy, speech therapy, and certified personal trainers, at a multidisciplinary wellness space in Downtown Boca Raton. Together, we offer a deeply supportive, integrated approach that treats the whole person, not just the injury.

Today, I help people move better, feel stronger, and reclaim their quality of life, especially those dealing with neurological conditions, stroke recovery, chronic pain, and long-standing issues that no one else has been able to resolve.

If you’re looking for a therapist who will listen, think deeply, problem-solve, and walk with you through every step of your recovery, I would be honored to be part of your journey.
